Keith Allen Haring was an American pop artist and activist who rose to fame in the 1980s New York art scene. His vibrant, cartoon-like works, often featuring barking dogs and radiant babies, were inspired by graffiti and made with bold colors and fluid lines. Haring’s art responded to social and political issues, and he used unconventional surfaces like subway cars and building walls to bridge the gap between fine art and pop culture.
