Street Art virtual tour

New Orleans

New Orleans is known for its street art, which often depicts local residents, and the city’s musical tradition.

The city’s graffiti started to emerge in the early 1980s and in 2008, the famous street artist Banksy created multiple pieces of street art in New Orleans. Many of these pieces reflected life during and after Hurricane Katrina. However, many of the pieces have been destroyed or covered up.  See if you can find his Umbrella Girl in the virtual tour.
